Cleveland police investigating after 1 shot, killed outside of Anejo Tequila Joint

The call came in around 3:15 p.m. Sunday and the man was taken to MetroHealth Cleveland where he later was pronounced deceased.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating a fatal shooting that took place Sunday afternoon outside of the Anejo Tequila Joint in the Flats. 

According to law enforcement officials, the incident began around 3:15 p.m. Sunday when officers were called to the 1000 block of West 10th Street, located near Front Street, for reports of a male shot. 

Upon arrival, officers administered first aid until EMS transported the man to MetroHealth Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.

At this time, members of the Cleveland Division of Police's Homicide Unit are investigating. Authorities tell 3News that they do not believe that this shooting is related to the NBA All-Star Game Weekend. 

The matter remains under investigation. No other information is available at this time.
