LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio — A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 29-year-old woman in Eaton Township late Sunday night.
It was around 11:12 p.m. when deputies from the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene in the 12500 block of Melody Lane.
Upon their arrival, authorities found a woman inside the residence had been shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her name has not been released.
The suspect, identified as Clifford L. Serafine Jr., was taken into custody at the scene. He was interviewed by detectives before being taken to the Lorain County Correctional Facility where he faces multiple charges -- including murder.
He’s currently being held on $1 million bond with an appearance set for 9 a.m. Tuesday in Elyria Municipal Court.
The incident is still under investigation by the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau. Anybody with information is asked to call authorities at 440-329-3710.
