CLEVELAND — Seven people – including two juveniles – have been indicted on charges connected with 13 aggravated robberies in five cities within Cuyahoga County throughout the course of two months.
A detailed timeline and list of charges were released Thursday morning by Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley.
Those indicted include:
- Andre Lovett, 19
- Tanell Matthews-Vance, 19
- Ronald Gonzalez, 19
- Roderick Coleman, 20
- Keanu Green, 22
- Two juvenile males (not named in the report) previously charged in juvenile court
“I want to thank the tremendous work of our law enforcement agency partners from the Cleveland Division of Police, the Lakewood Police Department, the Cleveland Heights Police Department, the Berea Police Department, the Bedford Heights Police Department and the U.S. Marshals,” said Prosecutor O’Malley. “These seven individuals terrorized communities and victims throughout Cuyahoga County and with the collaboration of our dedicated partners, we were able to get these individuals off our streets.”

Oct. 10
The victims, 40 and 19, pulled into their driveway near West 100th Street and South Frontage Road in Cleveland. Andre Lovett pulled in front of the victims in a vehicle. Then, he approached the victims and held them at gunpoint. He proceeded to rob the 40-year-old victim’s wallet and then fled the scene in that vehicle. The victims called the police and the Cleveland Division of Police (CPD) responded to the scene.
Oct. 18 at 11:53 p.m.
The victim, 49, pulled into an apartment parking lot near Lee Road and Cedar Road in Cleveland Heights. Roderick Coleman, Keanu Green, and juvenile male #1 pulled in front of the victim in a stolen Honda vehicle. Then, Coleman, Green, and juvenile male #1 approached the victim with guns. They proceeded to rob him taking his laptop and personal items. After the robbery, they fled the scene in the stolen Honda vehicle. The victim called the police and the Cleveland Heights Police Department (CHPD) responded to the scene.
Oct. 19 at 12:48 a.m.
The victims, 37 and 41, pulled into an apartment parking lot near Lee Road and Cedar Road in Cleveland Heights. Andre Lovett, Roderick Coleman, Keanu Green, and juvenile male #1 approached the victims’ car with guns. They proceeded to rob one victim of his personal items. After, the victim fled and Lovett, Coleman, Green and juvenile male #1 fired shots at the victim. They then fled the scene in the stolen Kia vehicle. CHPD responded to the scene.
Oct. 21
Keanu Green and juvenile male #1 were arrested.
Nov. 4 around 8:30 p.m.
The victim, 23, was sitting inside a rental vehicle near West 31st Street and Sackett Avenue in Cleveland. Andre Lovett, Roderick Coleman, Tanell Matthews-Vance, and juvenile male #2 pulled in front of the victims in a stolen Honda vehicle. Lovett, Coleman, Matthews-Vance, and juvenile male #2 approached the victims with guns and instructed the victim, 23, to exit the vehicle. After the victim exited the vehicle, they struck him in the head with their gun and demanded he transfer money through his CashApp account. They also stole his iPhone 11. After the robbery, they fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The victims called the police and CPD responded to the scene.
Nov. 4 at 9:12 p.m.
The victims, both 45, pulled into their driveway near Broadview Road and Mayview Road in Cleveland. Andre Lovett, Roderick Coleman, Tanell Matthews-Vance, and juvenile male #2 pulled in front of the victims in three stolen vehicles. Then, Lovett, Coleman, Matthews-Vance, and juvenile male #2 approached the victims with guns. They proceeded to rob the victims at gunpoint, taking a purse and personal items. After the robbery, they fled the scene in the stolen vehicles. The victims called the police and CPD responded to the scene.
Nov. 4 at 9:54 p.m.
The victim, 21, pulled into his driveway near Clarence Avenue and Detroit Avenue in Lakewood. Roderick Coleman, Tanell Matthews-Vance, and juvenile male #2 approached the victim, who was still sitting inside his vehicle, at gunpoint and robbed him of his personal items. They then fled the scene. The victim called the police and the Lakewood Police Department responded to the scene.
Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
The victim, 25, pulled into a driveway near Fulton Road and Keiper Court Street in Cleveland. Roderick Coleman and Tanell Matthews-Vance pulled in front of the victim in a stolen vehicle. Then, Coleman and Matthews-Vance approached the victim with guns. They proceeded to rob him, taking a firearm, his wallet, and his personal items. After the robbery, they fled the scene in the stolen vehicle. The victim called the police and the CPD responded to the scene.
Nov. 8 at 2:46 p.m.
The victim, 21, used an app called Offer Up to sell his iPhone to Andre Lovett. Lovett approached the victim in his driveway near Fillier Street and Front Street in Berea. He held the victim at gunpoint, stole his iPhone 13 Pro Max, and then fled the scene in a stolen vehicle (this was the vehicle taken on November 4). The victim called the police and the Berea Police Department responded to the scene.
Nov. 9 at 7:20 p.m.
The victim, 46, pulled into her driveway near Memphis Avenue and Ridge Road in Cleveland. Andre Lovett, Roderick Coleman, and Tanell Matthews-Vance pulled in front of the victim in a stolen Honda. Then, Lovett, Coleman, and Matthews-Vance approached the victim with guns and stated, “Get out of the car and leave your keys.” The victim exited the vehicle and Lovett, Coleman, and Matthews-Vance proceeded to rob her taking her vehicle, purse, an iPhone 13 Max Pro, an iPhone 12, and personal items. After the robbery, they fled the scene in both the victim’s vehicle and the stolen Honda vehicle.
Nov. 9 at 7:42 p.m.
The victim, 38, and her passenger, 42, were parked in her vehicle near Fulton Road and Storer Avenue in Cleveland. Andre Lovett, Roderick Coleman, and Tanell Matthews-Vance pulled in front of the victim and her passenger in a stolen Honda. Then, Lovett, Coleman, and Matthews-Vance approached the victim’s vehicle and ordered the victim and her passenger out of the car. They proceeded to pat down the victim and her passenger taking the victim’s wallet, an iPhone 11 Pro Max, and personal items. They also demanded that the victim send them money via CashApp however, the victim was unable to do so. After the robbery, they fled the scene in the stolen Honda vehicle.
Nov. 9 at 8:30 p.m.
The victims, 32 and 31, were driving home and they noticed a vehicle following them. The victims pulled into their driveway near Brookside Drive and West 63rd Street in Cleveland. Andre Lovett, Roderick Coleman, and Tanell Matthews-Vance pulled into their driveway after them in a stolen Honda vehicle. Then Lovett, Coleman, and Matthews-Vance approached the victim, 32, and pistol whipped him. They proceeded to aggressively rob them by taking their wedding rings, wallets, purse, and phone. They demanded to be let inside their residence where Lovett, Coleman, and Matthews-Vance robbed them of more items including a firearm and their personal items. After the robbery, they fled the scene in the stolen Honda vehicle. The victims called the police and CPD responded to the scene.
Nov. 13
The victim, 26, and his backseat passenger, 18, was stopped in traffic on West 98th Street and Madison Avenue in Cleveland. Andre Lovett and Tanell Matthews-Vance pulled in front of the victims, blocking them, in a stolen Honda vehicle. Then Lovett and Matthews-Vance approached the victims with guns. They proceeded to pat down the victim, 26, taking his wallet and personal items. They also strangled the backseat passenger, and robbed her of her purse, $100 cash, and phone. After, they fled the scene in the stolen vehicle. The victim called the police and CPD responded to the scene.
Nov. 15
Roderick Coleman and Tanell Matthews-Vance were arrested.
Dec. 19
The victim, 18, communicated with an individual through the online site OfferUp, to sell his gaming system. The victim pulled into an apartment parking lot near Northfield Road and Libby Road in Bedford Heights. Andre Lovett and Ronald Gonzalez pulled in front of the victim in a vehicle. Then, Lovett and Gonzalez approached the victim with guns, pistol whipped him, and one stated, “Blast him.” They proceeded to rob the victim of the gaming system and then fled the scene in the stolen vehicle. The victim called the police and the Bedford Heights Police Department responded to the scene.
Dec. 20
Andre Lovett was arrested by the U.S. Marshals. During his arrest, one of the U.S. Marshals was injured.
Jan. 5
Ronald Gonzalez was arrested.
Jan. 7
Juvenile male #2 was arrested.
