According to court records, Rimal was indicted on the following charges on April 5:

2 counts of murder
1 count of felonious assault
1 count of strangulation
1 count of tampering with evidence
1 count of gross abuse of a corpse
1 count of domestic violence

Rimal remains in jail on the $1 million bond that was set last month in Stow Municipal Court. An arraignment date in Summit County Common Pleas Court has not yet been announced.

The remains of the 33-year-old Poudel-Rimal were located on the morning of Feb. 27 in a wooded area off of Middlebury Road near the Summit Metro Parks Freedom Trail. The Summit County Medical Examiner's Officer immediately referred to her death as "suspicious" but provided no further information at the time.

Poudel-Rimal was originally reported missing on Feb. 21, when her husband told authorities she was not at their Cuyahoga Falls home when he woke up at 9 a.m. that day. Rimal did not provide information on his wife's whereabouts, per officials, and a search ensued. After Kent police located Poudel-Rimal's body, law enforcement issued a warrant for Rimal's arrest.

Court documents obtained by WKYC stated Rimal allegedly "did cause death" by "strangulation after an argument at their residence." The documents also allege he "transported her body to a wooded area and left it hidden in the wooded area."
