PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio — A suspect is in custody Wednesday after leading police on a brief chase and causing an accident.

The chase began just before 11:30 a.m. when police tried to pull over an older model white Buick near Stumph and Huffman Roads.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, climbing a chain-link fence before later being taken into custody behind an apartment building located in the 5400 block of Chevrolet Blvd.

The Parma Heights Police Department was assisted by Parma Police and two parole authority officers.

Two victims in the crash, as well as the suspect, were treated for minor injuries at a local hospital and released.
