East Cleveland police announce indictments in 3 murders, including mass shooting at 2022 reunion

EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — The East Cleveland Police Department has announced indictments in three different murders that happened within the city -- including one dating back to last year.

East Cleveland police say Eddings was indicted Aug. 3 by a Cuyahoga County grand jury for the murder of Tyran Lewis and numerous counts of felonious assault.

The crime dates back nearly a year to Sept. 5, 2022. Police say it was around 2:53 a.m. when nine people were shot at a reunion in the 13900 block of Euclid Avenue.

Lewis later died from his injuries.

Crime Stoppers had previously offered a $5,000 reward in the case.

East Cleveland police say Jackson was indicted on Aug. 3 by a Cuyahoga County grand jury for the murder of Thomasha Ussery.

It was around 4:39 a.m. on July 9 when officers responded to the scene in the 1800 block of Taylor Road where Ussery was found with a gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene.

East Cleveland police say these three suspects were indicted Aug. 3 for the murder of Michael Brewer.

The incident dates back to July 6. Police say officers responded to the scene around 3:31 a.m. in the 14000 block of Terrace Road where the victim was identified as Brewer.
