$2,500 reward offered for information in deadly East Cleveland shooting

EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information connected to a deadly shooting that killed one person in East Cleveland late Tuesday night.

East Cleveland police say it was around 11:46 p.m. when authorities were alerted to the shooting in the 1300 block of 5th Avenue.

When police arrived at the scene, the victim was found “unresponsive with no signs of life.” He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later, according to police. 

Neither his name nor his age have been released pending notification of family.

No additional details about the incident were immediately available.

Police are asking for the public’s help as they work to investigate the case. Anybody who was in the area where the shooting took place or has information connected to the incident is asked to call the East Cleveland Detective Bureau at 216-681-2162 or Crime Stoppers at 216-252-7563.

If the information provided leads to the arrest and/or conviction of those responsible, you could be eligible to receive the reward money.
