TRUMBULL COUNTY, Ohio — A Walmart employee has been taken to the hospital following an alleged attack Wednesday morning in Trumbull County.
According to NBC affiliate 21 News in Youngstown, police arrived at the supercenter on Millennium Boulevard around 7:15 a.m. and found the woman on the ground and "bleeding heavily" from her head. The alleged assailant was identified as 27-year-old Omar Williams, the boyfriend of a co-worker.
A police report obtained by WFMJ claimed Williams and his girlfriend had been fighting for more than an hour, with Williams allegedly slapping and choking the woman before the second employee intervened and tried to get her to a safe location. Williams then chased after then
m before apparently shoving the second worker into a metal rack, causing "severe" injuries.
Williams fled in his girlfriend's car before eventually being captured by Warren Township police. He is currently being held in the Trumbull County Jail on charges of felonious assault, motor vehicle theft, domestic violence and disrupting public service.
The women who hit her head was taken from the store via ambulance, and her exact condition is unknown at this time. The second alleged victim, Williams' girlfriend, has been cooperating with authorities.
