The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating a fatal shooting outside of MetroHealth Medical Center on Tuesday.
Police responded to the scene on MetroHealth Drive near Scranton Road and found the victim deceased inside of a vehicle. Homicide detectives were called to the scene to begin investigating.
The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Rayshown Calloway.
Investigators believe that Calloway was involved in an argument with his child’s mother and following that argument, the pair entered separate vehicles. Calloway reportedly threatened his child’s mother and her girlfriend with a gun The girlfriend shot him when both vehicles were stopped and fled the scene on foot. She later turned herself in was interviewed by homicide investigators, who conferred with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office.
The incident remains under prosecutorial review.
