LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- Police on Tuesday arrested a man for the 2017 murder of a Lakewood resident.
According to police, 39-year-old Charles A. Muscatello was arrested for the August 2017 murder of Maurice Goins. Police say Muscatello is a Cleveland area resident, but is homeless.
Goins, 53, was found dead in his apartment in the 11800 block of Madison Avenue Aug. 6, 2017. His death was ruled suspicious by police and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner concluded he died by homicide.
Police say evidence linked Muscatello to the crime and a warrant for his arrest was obtained June 18.
Muscatello remains in the Lakewood City Jail on $500,000 bond.
