Suspect who allegedly pulled Kent State student's pants down held on $50,000 bond

He was arrested early Tuesday evening.

KENT, Ohio — Police at Kent State University have arrested a Newton Falls man following an alleged assault that took place on campus Tuesday morning.

21-year-old Christopher Clark was arrested for gross sexual imposition, assault and obstructing official business.

According to officials, Clark pulled down a female student's "lower garments" as she was walking around the west side of the fitness track near DeWeese Health Center around 10 a.m. The woman fell down and suffered scrapes and bruising, while the suspect ran away towards Loop Road and East Summit Street.

Clark pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Portage County Municipal Court. He is being held on $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear again on Oct. 11 at 10 a.m.

This is the latest incident at KSU: A week ago, a nude man was captured on camera outside the Alpha Phi sorority house. This was the third recent event involving a nude man on campus, but police have not said there is a connection with this latest attack as of this time.
