LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Ariel Walters, the suspect at the center of a days-long Amber Alert in Lakewood has been indicted by a grand jury.
Walters was indicted by a Cuyahoga County grand jury on Wednesday, Jan. 24 and is facing the following charges:
- Attempted Murder
- Felonious Assault
- Endangering Children
- Domestic Violence
The 29-year-old is accused of stabbing her husband on Christmas Eve before taking her 1-year-old daughter, triggering an Amber Alert.
Police say the incident dates back to around 2:20 a.m. on Christmas Eve morning when officers responded to the scene at Cove Park where a 30-year-old man had been stabbed.
The Amber Alert was canceled Friday, Dec. 29, after police said the child was safely returned and Walters turned herself in.
Walters is expected to appear in court on Monday, Jan. 29, at 8:30 a.m. for an arraignment hearing.
