CLEVELAND — Local law enforcement officials are seeking the public's help identifying a man wanted for the robbery of a US Bank, Tuesday morning.
After trying to gain entry to the bank, located at 1350 Euclid Avenue, several times before it opened at 10 a.m. the suspect tried to use a withdrawal slip to receive cash. He was unable to produce a valid account number and was told to come back with identification to complete the transaction.
The suspect then pull out a demand note that read, "I have a gun and I will shoot you if you press the button. I want 20, 50, 100's". The victim teller complied and the suspect got away with an unknown amount of cash.
The suspect is described as 5'6'' to 5'8'' tall black male with bad body odor weighing approximately 180 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cleveland Division of Police, the Cleveland Division of the FBI, or Crime Stoppers. Reward money is available for information leading to the successful identification and prosecution of the individual responsible.
