PAINESVILLE, Ohio — The railings outside Painesville’s courthouse were given a fresh coat of paint Friday morning – but it wasn't a simple task.
Avery White had to paint the rails using a toothbrush.
It’s the punishment White was ordered to fulfill by Judge Michael Cicconetti, who is known for issuing creative sentences, after being charged with criminal mischief for spray painting graffiti on a caboose owned by the Grand River Railway.
We streamed live video of White painting the railings, which you can watch HERE:
“It may take you a while, but that’s the lesson to be learned," Judge Cicconetti said last week during White’s sentencing hearing.
He had given White two choices… Spend 10 days in jail or paint the outdoor railings.
Last September, Judge Cicconetti ordered a man to cut a school’s lawn using an old-fashioned, non-powered push mower. The punishment came after the man had mowed obscenities in the school’s grass.
