Man ID'd who was shot and killed outside Cleveland convenience store

CLEVELAND – One man was shot and killed outside a convenience store on the city's east side on Saturday afternoon.

The shooting occurred in front of McClain's Market on the corner of Martin Luther King Dr. and Dove Ave. just after 12:30 p.m.

Cleveland Police found the man inside the market after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest.

Cleveland EMS rushed the man who was shot in the chest to MetroHealth Medical Center where he later died.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man as 24-year-old David Keswani of Cleveland.

The preliminary investigation reveals that the victim had purchased something at the convenient store and then left, walking on Martin Luther King Dr. Occupants of a red vehicle traveling on Dove Avenue fired shots from a vehicle in the direction of the victim. The vehicle then fled the scene. 

No arrests have been made and no suspect description has been given.
