One person is dead and another was taken to the hospital following a shooting in the West Akron neighborhood Thursday afternoon.
Police were called to the 1000 block of Yukon Avenue around 3:42 p.m. and found two men men with gunshot wounds. A 29-year-old man was found deceased inside a car, while a 37-year-old was taken to Akron General Hospital with "what appears to be non-life-threatening injuries."
Neither victim has been identified at this time. The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy.
An investigation into the incident is under way. No suspects have been named at this time.
