NORTH CANTON, Ohio — Two people have been arrested for a late-night pizza shop robbery that left one man in the hospital.

Police were called to the scene at Zepp’s Pizza in the 1100 block of South Main Street around 10:12 p.m.

The victim, an employee at the pizza shop, said it started shortly after 10 p.m. when two people walked inside Zepp’s after the location closed for the night.

After notifying both people that the pizza shop was closed, he stepped into the back for a moment before returning to see the tip jar was gone.

Police say the employee went outside and confronted the suspects in the parking lot where they were sitting inside a vehicle.

The worker was struck in the face and his leg run over by the getaway vehicle. He was taken to Mercy Medical Center where he provided emergency room personnel with a description of the suspects.

North Canton police later located the suspects – identified as Garrison Hoover, 25, and Tiffany Stephan, 40, both of Massillon. They were arrested without incident and booked into the Stark County Jail for aggravated robbery.

Authorities are still searching for a third suspect who was also in the vehicle.
