AKRON, Ohio — A 35-year-old man is dead after being shot on Akron's west side Thursday afternoon.
After receiving a report of shots fired, police say they found the victim lying on the ground near the 1200 block of Park Lane Drive with an apparent gunshot wound. He died from his injuries at the scene.
Detectives are currently investigating, but no suspects have been identified or arrested at this time. The victim's name is also being withheld while the Summit County Medical Examiner conducts an autopsy.
