2 men die in overnight Cleveland shooting: Both victims found in vehicle

CLEVELAND — Two people are dead following an overnight shooting in the 15000 block of Aspinwall Avenue in Cleveland.

Authorities say officers found a vehicle with the rear window shot out after gunshots were heard in the area around 12:26 a.m.

Two men -- identified as 32-year-old Darnell Bond and 43-year-old Larry Crawford -- were found inside the vehicle with gunshot wounds.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say a 44-year-old man, who was also in the vehicle, was able to flee the scene unharmed after the shots were fired.

According to preliminary information, police say all three men were traveling inside the vehicle when shots were fired in their direction by an unknown suspect.

No arrests have been made.

Anybody with information is asked to call investigators at 216-623-5464 or Crime Stoppers at 216-25-CRIME. Police say a reward of up to $5,000 may be available.

Tipsters can remain anonymous.
