DORAL, Fla. — Two people died and seven people were injured after a fight turned into a shooting at a Miami-Dade mall early Saturday morning.
A fight broke out at Martini Bar in CityPlace around 3:30 a.m. when a gunman shot and killed a security guard who tried to intervene, WSVN reported.
Two City of Doral Police Officers, who were part of security, responded and one officer was shot and the gunman was killed. Six other bystanders were also injured. Two are in critical condition, and four are stable.
The City of Doral Police Officer who was shot in the leg was a member of the force for four years and put a tourniquet on himself during the incident, CBS reported. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported him to HCA Kendall Trauma Center in critical condition, according to a news release.
The gunman and security guard were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the shooting.
