PARMA, Ohio — A 17-year-old male is dead after a shooting that took place Tuesday afternoon in Parma.
At approximately 3 p.m., the Parma Police Department responded to calls of gunshots in the 5700 block of Park Boulevard. Uniformed officers and detectives arrived to the scene to find the 17-year-old with gunshot wounds.
He was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center by the Parma Fire Department where he died of his wounds as a result of the shooting.
Several people were reported to have been running from the scene when the shooting happened. Crime scene investigators found several bullet casings on the street.
There is no information as to the identity of the shooter at this point although Parma Police say they are following up on leads they have developed.
