CLEVELAND — Bond was continued Friday for a St. Edward High School teacher who was arrested earlier this month.
Patrick DeChant, 32, is facing a corruption of a minor charge after law enforcement sources say he had an online conversation with someone he thought was a 15-year-old boy. It was actually a task force agent.
Court records show DeChant was released from jail after posting 10% of a $25,000 bond earlier this month. That bond was continued Friday, when DeChant made another arraignment appearance in court.

DeChant later agreed online to meet someone he thought was a boy in an effort to engage in sexual conduct. Instead, he was met by task force agents, sources said.
School officials said a background check on DeChant was performed when he joined St. Edward High School in 2015. They also said the allegations against DeChant do not involve a St. Edward student.
