Police say officers responded to the 28700 block of Fairmount Boulevard around 12:48 a.m., where they found 24-year-old Isaiah Lampkins, of Solon, on the lawn.
Lampkins was taken to Hillcrest Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
On Monday evening, Pepper Pike Police announced that Niles resident Matthew Stecher has been arrested and charged with Voluntary Manslaughter and Trafficking in Drugs. Two additional suspects, Kevin Malone of Orange Village, and Da'Jon Carouthers of Cleveland have been arrested and charged with Involuntary Manslaughter and Armed Robbery.
Police say the suspects came into Pepper Pike to allegedly sell and purchase drugs. Malone and Carouthers apparently with Lampkins to buy marijuana from Stecher in the yard of an unoccupied home. Officers believe the drug deal went bad when the purchasers attempted to rob Stecher. A struggle then ensued in which shots were fired that resulted in Lampkins' death.
Bail has been set at $500,000 for Malone and Carouthers and $650,000 for Stecher. Police are not releasing any further details because of the ongoing investigation.
