CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating an apparent shooting near an elementary school in the city's Fairfax neighborhood.
The incident happened near the intersection of East 100th Street and Quebec Avenue, not far from Bolton Elementary School. According to the Cleveland EMS, an 18-year-old has been taken to University Hospitals, however there is no confirmation that the person was shot.
A spokesperson for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District tells 3News that the code blue indicating a lockdown has been lifted.
Outside, more than 20 shell cases could be seen on the ground, while a shot-up car was spotted about a half a block away from the school.
