EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — Two men are in custody after a brief chase with East Cleveland police Sunday.
According to reports, police responded to a call for an argument involving a firearm on Pontiac Street. The caller told dispatch, " I'm a killer, the police better hurry."
Near the intersection of East 125th Street and Shaw Avenue, officers located a car, matching the description of the vehicle used by the man with the firearm, with two males inside.
After a brief pursuit, the driver opened his door with a Mac-10 style firearm.
In an attempt to keep the male inside, officer struck the door of the car. The driver was able to exit the car, but was later tased by police. At the same time, the passenger also attempted to exit the vehicle and was also tased.
Both men were taken into custody without injury. The car they were driving was reported stolen out of Strongsville.
