Popular Northeast Ohio monument store broken into, reward for information offered

There's a reward for anyone who can lead police to the suspect.

It was a sad Christmas Eve for one of Northeast Ohio's most popular monument and statue distributors.

Milano Monuments, located in Brookpark, is seeking the public's help in locating a suspected burglar.

The store was broken into just about an hour before midnight Monday.

A large hole was found on the side of the building.

A sledgehammer reportedly used to break through a concrete wall was left at the scene.

Employees say it took about 20 minutes for the man to reportedly break in -- even breaking the sledgehammer in the process.

Surveillance video shows him prying into the front register, taking cash and leaving through a back door, which tripped the alarm.

Owner Jim Milano says he's offering a $500 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible.
