SANDUSKY, Ohio — Sandusky police say a man is in custody and facing murder charges for the death of a young girl.
According to Sandusky Police Chief Jared Oliver, officers received a report that a young girl was missing from a residence in the 4000 block of Venice Road at approximately 9 p.m. on Thursday night.
The report came in from 29-year-old Devin S. O'Brien.
Police responded to the area and began a search for the child, who was ultimately found dead.
"A preliminary investigation into her death led to O’Brien being arrested and charged for her murder," Oliver told 3News in an email.
The incident remains under investigation.
