South Euclid police investigating shootout between 2 vehicles, find 29 shell casings

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio — The South Euclid Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened between vehicles in a neighborhood on Tuesday night. 

According to South Euclid Police Chief Joseph Mays, the incident happened near the intersection of Adrian Road and Piermont Road at approximately 10:20 p.m. Mays stated that officers "found a total of 29 shell casings littering the street."  

Witnesses told police that two light-colored vehicles appeared to be chasing and shooting each other. 

Doorbell camera footage shared with 3News reveals audible sounds of shots being fired, with one car then being seen speeding through a stop sign and making a rapid right turn. Several people are seen getting out of the vehicle and then firing at an approaching car. 

Photos taken on Wednesday show bullet holes found in nearby homes.
