The Stark County Sheriff's Office and several other local agencies arrested three men as a result of an ongoing narcotics investigation on Tuesday.
According to officials, one local and seven federal search warrants were issued at around 7 a.m. throughout the city of Canton and Plain Township.
29-year-old Edward Turpin IV and 28-year-old Perez Antwan Williams were both arrested and charged with one count of Having Weapons Under Disability
20-year-old Nae Quan Sanders was arrested and charged with one count of possession of Marijuana, one count of aggravated trafficking in drugs, one count of Possession of cocaine, one count of receiving stolen property, one count of trafficking in Cocaine, and one count of trafficking in marijuana.
Through the arrests, narcotic agents were able to seize methamphetamine, opiate derivatives, cocaine, marijuana, nine firearms and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.
“This investigation is yet another example of local and federal law enforcement collaboration as we work seamlessly to ensure Stark County’s streets are safe,” explained Sheriff George T. Maier. “We remain dedicated to seeing that dangerous drugs and weapons are taken out of circulation and that these individuals are held accountable.”
