LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Two juveniles were arrested early Thursday morning after they allegedly slammed their stolen vehicle into a pair of Lakewood police cruisers.
According to a release from the Lakewood Police Department, officers were monitoring the area of Hird Avenue and North Lane for thefts just after 2 a.m. Police say a suspicious vehicle was seen going westbound and parking on North Lane at an apartment complex lot.
As officers moved into the parking lot, the vehicle allegedly sped out, ramming into the front of a police cruiser. The suspect vehicle then went south on Hird, striking another police car that was going northbound.
Two male suspects got out of the vehicle and fled the area on foot, while a female passenger was arrested at the scene. One of the male suspects was later arrested after a foot chase in the 11800 block of Hird Avenue. The other male suspect has not yet been located.
Lakewood police say the vehicle that was driven by the suspects was reported as stolen to the Cleveland Division of Police.
