Parma Heights Police responded to the Walmart in Parma,Thursday evening, for a male huffing.
According to reports the male was huffing canned air used to clean computers.
When officers arrived on scene, the suspect pulled out a knife and put it to his throat.
Officers then used a taser to prevent injury.
During questioning, the suspect gave officers a false name and was found to be in possession of stolen property.
Officials later determined that the false name given was that of the suspects Strongsville roommate and that the property also belonged to him.
The suspect was taken to Parma Hospital, where he remains under police guard.
He is facing charges of disorderly conduct, falsification and receiving stolen property.
