AKRON, Ohio — 58-year-old Elias Gudino, a murder suspect arrested in Summit County late last week, made his first court appearance in the case Monday morning.
During the brief hearing in Barberton Municipal Court, a judge entered a technical plea of not guilty on Gudino's behalf and set a bond review hearing for 9 a.m. this Wednesday.
This means he's currently being held without bond until his next court appearance.
He has been charged with one count of aggravated murder and one count of attempted aggravated murder. Police say additional charges are pending.
Gudino's arrest came after authorities found a body Friday morning along the 2100 block of Wright Road, which Copley police say was bound and gagged. The body's discovery in Copley came shortly after Akron police found two bodies -- also bound and gagged -- off Cordova Avenue that same morning.
Police say all three victims had been shot in the head. Their names have not yet been released.
Authorities say they believe the men had "likely been kidnapped from outside this area and brought to Summit County."
3News confirmed that Gudino was convicted in 2010 of running a cocaine drug ring in Akron and spent several years in federal prison.
