CLEVELAND — Three people accused of robbing a North Canton bank at gunpoint in July were tracked down this week and arrested in Pennsylvania after being connected to another alleged robbery, police said.

According to a social media post from the North Canton Police Department, Matthew D. Smith, 32, Christopher Lucius, 36 and Latoya Young, 43, were arrested by members of the FBI and Pennsylvania State Police on Wednesday. All three are Canton residents, police said.

On July 18, witnesses said a man pulled out a gun inside a Citizens Bank on North Main Street and stole an unknown amount of cash before fleeing with another individual in a black Honda Civic that was reported stolen out of Canton.

North Canton police said surveillance efforts being conducted on the suspects led investigators to Pennsylvania, "where reports of another bank robbery were released."

The three suspects were "quickly" found and arrested and are currently being held on multiple charges in the Beaver County Jail in Aliquippa, Penn.

North Canton police did not specify what charges the three suspects are facing, though did note that they would face both local and federal charges in relation to the multiple cases.
