According to the Euclid Police Department, the incident began with an officer attempting to make a traffic stop on a stolen black Kia Sportage in the 1300 block of East 276th Street. The Sportage was next to a stolen gray Kia Soul in the parking lot. When the officer got out of the police cruiser, the Sportage rammed the squad car and fled the scene. While the police car was damaged, the officer was not injured.

A pursuit ensued that moved into Lake County and involved other police departments, including Wickliffe and Willoughby. The Sportage hit two innocent bystander cars near the area of SOM Center Road and Ridge Road before it finally came to a stop.

Three suspects, two of them juveniles and one age 18, fled the scene on foot. Euclid police told 3News that one of the departments involved in the pursuit deployed a taser on the 18-year-old suspect before making the arrest on the trio.
