STARK COUNTY, Ohio — A 17-year-old male was shot in the leg late Friday afternoon in Plain Township.
According to Sheriff George T. Maier, authorities responded to a call at 3:35 p.m. in the 2200 block of 45th Street NE. Upon arrival, deputies learned the teen was shot once in the leg. He was transported to Mercy Medical Center where he is being treated for minor injuries.
Deputies learned Diamond J. Hall, 29, fired the gunshot. It was discovered during the investigation that Hall had been arguing with the victim prior to the shooting. Hall was arrested and booked at the Stark County Jail for one count of felonious assault and one count receiving stolen property.
The shooting is currently still under investigation by the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
