GREEN, Ohio — A second arrest has been made following the investigation of a shooting of a man in Green last month, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday.
On Sept. 19, a robbery occurred in the City of Green that resulted in a 30-year-old man suffering multiple gunshot wounds. The Summit County Sheriff’s Office determined that the man was shot by two different suspects. One of them was a 17-year-old boy from the City of Akron who was arrested on Sept. 23. He was apprehended on charges of attempted murder, aggravated robbery, and felonious assault.
According to the sheriff’s office, warrants were also issued for the second shooter, a 16-year-old boy from Akron.
On Sept. 29 the second suspect was located by the Summit County Sheriff’s Office and the Akron Police Department Gun Violence Reduction Team at his residence. The 16-year-old boy was apprehended without incident following a tactical entrance into his residence by the Summit County Sheriff’s SWAT Team.
He was then taken to the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center where has been booked on charges of attempted murder, aggravated robbery and felonious assault.
