CLEVELAND — Terrell Silver, a 35-year-old Cleveland man who was recently found guilty on murder charges in the deaths of four people dating back to September 2019 -- including a pregnant woman -- will learn his fate today as he’s sentenced in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.

Judge Ashley Kilbane presided over the sentencing hearing, which we streamed live inside this story.

Silver’s sentencing comes two weeks after a jury found him guilty of the following charges:

  • Seven counts of aggravated murder
  • Four counts of murder
  • Five counts of felonious assault
  • One count of attempted murder
  • One count of aggravated burglary

The judge also found him guilty of two counts of having weapons under disability.

CASE DETAILS

Authorities say it was between Sept. 7-21 in 2019 when Silver shot all four victims at a residence where they were staying near East 144th Street and Kinsman Road.

All four victims were laying down on two mattresses on the floor at the time of the shooting, according to the prosecutor's office.

Silver fled the scene.

The victims were identified as two women and two men:

  • 18-year-old Jazmyne Lawson (who was five-and-a-half months pregnant)
  • 19-year-old Aiyanna Quitman
  • 20-year-old Dejuan Damar Willis
  • 23-year-old Christopher Monroe

Cleveland police found the victims inside the residence on Sept. 21.

“This case took several years of hard work by law enforcement, and this demonstrates victims will not be forgotten in Cuyahoga County,” Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley said after Silver’s conviction.

Multiple law enforcement agencies assisted with the investigation as the prosecutor’s office also notes DNA and gun tool mark evidence linked Silver to the crime.

Silver was ultimately indicted for the murders in April of 2023 while he was already behind bars for separate crimes.
