The U.S. Marshals have arrested a 33-year-old man being sought for a 2015 probation violation stemming from weapons offenses.
The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force said Maurice 'Jason' Sinkfield was arrested in Euclid on Sunday morning.
Sinkfield fled from authorities on four separate occasions, including an instance where he ended up heavily damaging cars driven by members of the task force.
The arrest was aided by tips and leads from the public, authorities said.
A firearm and ammunition were recovered by officers during the arrest.
“The safety of the community and our law enforcement officers is the most important part of our job, and we will pursue the violators to the end of the earth," U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott said in a statement. "Sinkfield is lucky that there aren’t 8 days in the week, our team would have pursued him then too.”
