EUCLID, Ohio — A 36-year-old man was arrested by members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force Thursday afternoon.
“Law enforcement has seen an increase in violence across Northern Ohio," said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott. "This arrest is another example of this task force and its partners passion to keep our communities safe by taking violent fugitives off the street.”
Deshon Baker was wanted by the Euclid Police Department for a felonious assault charge stemming from an incident that took place on July 8, 2020.
According to reports, Euclid Police responded to a bar on Lakeland Blvd. to investigate a potential hit-skip when shots were fired from inside the establishment.
An officer located a man in the back parking lot of the bar who jumped into a car and drove "directly at the officer" who was outside of his cruiser. The officer shot at the man, who was later identified as Baker, before fleeing the scene.
Baker was arrested at a home in the 1900 block of Noble Avenue in East Cleveland.
