AKRON, Ohio — Members of the U.S. Marshals' Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) have captured a suspect wanted for murder in Louisiana.
Task force members located and arrested 50-year-old Romalic Nash Sr. on Wednesday at a residence near the 1100 block of Jeanie J Avenue in Akron.
According to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office, on October 16, Nash shot and killed Stacy Boudreaux, 52, while she was sitting inside her residence in Gibson, Louisiana. Deputies say Nash was allegedly attempting to shoot at a group of males that were standing in front of the residence next door to Boudreaux’s home. One of the bullets that Nash shot from an assault rifle went through the side of Boudreaux’s home and struck her in the back as she was sitting in a chair. She was found dead inside her residence a couple days later by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office.
“Senseless violence resulted in the death of a woman that was minding her business inside of her own home. Outstanding work by our task force brings this victim’s family one step closer to justice," said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott in a statement.
