CLEVELAND — A man wanted for the murder of 33-year-old Darren Daniels was arrested on Tuesday, according to the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF).
Kemar Wallace, 38, was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for the March 2023 aggravated murder of Daniels.
According to Cleveland police, Wallace and Daniels got into a verbal altercation at Daniels' apartment on the day of the murder. The argument escalated to Wallace shooting Daniels multiple times leading to Daniels' death.
On Tuesday, members of the NOVFTF found and arrested Wallace at a residence near the 10500 block of Hudson Avenue in Cleveland.
“Persistent efforts by the Cleveland Division of Police, Homicide Unit, lead to the identification of this violent suspect. Almost a year after the incident, this fugitive is now behind bars and will face his charges," said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott.
