Vehicle of Ashtabula businessman who was found dead last weekend located in Euclid

EUCLID, Ohio — A vehicle belonging to an Ashtabula businessman who was found dead last weekend in Painesville has been located, police confirmed Tuesday afternoon.

Tim Meola's gray Jeep Grand Cherokee was apparently found this morning at a Euclid apartment complex. It had been stolen from the location in Painesville where Meola's body was discovered on Saturday.

The 65-year-old Meola, a long-time caterer, was found dead on 200 block of Mentor Avenue when officers performed a welfare check after he did not show up for work. Homicide detectives have been investigating, although an exact cause of death has not been released.

Meola's Jeep is currently being processed by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation. Anyone with further information regarding this case is asked to immediately call the Painesville Police Department at (440) 392-5840.
