SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio — A Saturday dispute between an employee and a customer resulted in shots being fired at a business in the 8200 block of Golden Link Boulevard in Northfield Center Township.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office says it was around 12:15 p.m. when deputies responded to the scene where an employee at the undisclosed business “fired at least two rounds at the customer and fled on foot.
Although nobody was struck by either of the gunshots, authorities say one of the rounds exited the business, went across the street and struck a vehicle at a car dealership.
The alleged shooter -- identified as 27-year-old Tre'Von Rondo of Twinsburg -- was located shortly after deputies arrived on scene.
In new information released Tuesday morning, the Summit County Sheriff's Office says Rondo has been charged with discharging a firearm over a public roadway (F-3). He was transported to the Summit County Jail. Authorities say further charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
