EUCLID, Ohio — A Painesville woman was cited for operating a vehicle under the influence and reckless operation after going the wrong way on I-90 and crashing into another vehicle in Euclid.
The incident happened on Tuesday evening just before 10:30 p.m.
Video from Ohio Department of Transportation cameras show the chilling collision as 57-year-old Kelly Klemencic was driving her Chevy sedan westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-90 at the Route 2 split.
According to Euclid Police Captain Mitch Houser, Klemencic's car crashed into a Jeep SUV driven by a 27-year-old Willoughby woman. The Willoughby woman wa treated at the scene. Klemencic was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Klemencic will appear later at Euclid Municipal Court to face the OVI and reckless operation charges.
"It is a miracle no one was more seriously injured," Capt. Houser told 3News in an email.
