CLEVELAND — A Cuyahoga County corrections officer was arrested Wednesday on accusations he provided drugs to jail inmates.
According to a sheriff's report, officer Stephen Thomas was arrested inside the county justice center's employee break room Wednesday afternoon on charges of possession of cocaine, illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility and trafficking drugs.
Thomas, 27, was placed on unpaid administrative leave Thursday, according to a letter obtained by WKYC.
