CLEVELAND — Wednesday's water quality at Cleveland's Edgewater and Villa Angela beaches has been deemed "poor" by the Northeast Ohio Sewer District.
Edgewater's quality is poor due to potentially harmful bacteria from the combined sewer overflow just west of the beach. The overflow discharged raw sewage and stormwater into the lake Tuesday night, posing a risk of E.coli to swimmers.
Villa Angela's quality is also poor due to potentially harmful bacteria.
