CLEVELAND — Cleveland Metropolitan Schools CEO Eric Gordon delivered the 2019 State of the Schools address Thursday.
CMSD recently received an overall "D" grade on state annual report cards after years of being stuck at "F." The district cited increases in English language proficiency, graduation, rates, and gap closing as reasons for the improvement.
"Our continued progress is due in large measure to the extraordinary investment so many of you have made, and continue to make, in Cleveland’s kids and their future," Gordon said at the time.
