3News is your Education Station. To cap off Black History Month, high school students from the Cleveland chapter of Jack and Jill of America visited WKYC Studios on Wednesday, Feb. 28, to learn about the news business.
3News' anchor Russ Mitchell gave students a tour of WKYC Studios. One of the members was Shaker Heights High freshman Rory Carson, who introduced her fellow Jack and Jill members to her grandfather, 3News senior correspondent Leon Bibb. Bibb shared stories with the students about his career in journalism.
Jack and Jill is a historic organization that was founded in 1938 in Philadelphia by African-American parents who wanted to provide their children with special educational and cultural opportunities and experiences.
