EUCLID, Ohio — The Euclid City School District has confirmed one of its substitute teachers has resigned amid allegations of sexual misconduct.
Officials say the teacher, who worked at the high school, stepped down Wednesday morning before administrators even became aware of the accusations. A statement from the district called the claims "extremely concerning," adding that higher-ups are now "actively cooperating with the Euclid Police Department."
"Given the need to safeguard student privacy rights, we cannot disclose additional details, as the investigation is ongoing," the statement continued. "We remain committed to a thorough investigation of the situation, prioritizing the well-being and confidentiality of our students and their families."
The ex-teacher's name has not been released, nor have officials confirmed if the allegations involve students or other members of the district. 3News has reached out to Euclid police for further comment.
