Twinsburg City Schools’ tax levy passed by voters

The money raised from the bond will go toward addressing costly and inefficient school buildings.

TWINSBURG, Ohio — In one of the closest school ballot issue races throughout Northeast Ohio this election, voters have passed Twinsburg City Schools’ proposed 4.27-mill, $107 million bond issue.  

50.19% of voters voted in favor of the levy while 48.81% voted against the levy. The race was separated by just eight votes -- 1030 in favor and 1022 against. 

The money raised from the bond will go toward addressing costly and inefficient school buildings. Key projects from the bond include a new elementary school, relocating Tiger Stadium to Twinsburg High School’s campus, and moving the athletic fields to Dodge Property. 

The levy will cost residents in the Twinsburg City School District will cost taxpayers nearly $149 per $100,000 of taxable property value each year.
